A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways. — James 1:8
There are moments in our story that look beautiful from the outside.
Smiles caught on camera. Days that seem full.
But I remember what I brought into many of those moments — and it wasn’t peace.
That was me.
Saying I loved you… while trying to control you.
Asking for grace… while withholding it from you.
Vacations, birthdays, even quiet evenings at home — that I twisted.
Wanting our life to look right… while refusing to surrender the parts of me that kept breaking it.
This week, I'm choosing to name it here and trust the Lord to redeem these moments.
Confession
Rebecca, I know I can’t fix or undo the past.
So many moments I ruined — yelling, slamming doors, twisting what could’ve been good.
The photos look happy. But you remember what came before and after.
I was double-minded. And unstable in all my ways.
You carried the weight of that.
This week, I just want to name it once again.
And to keep moving toward wholeness — one step, one truth at a time.
The Invitation
This Thursday evening, soon after the game,
There's a place where prayer and worship in His name.
At Stocksdale Park, beneath the sky,
We'll gather in stillness — no need to try.
We'll switch the cars so I can prepare,
Just a simple detail to help us get there.
No expectations, no need to perform —
Only the presence of God, outside the norm.
Elijah won't come to us tonight,
But he is with Christ, where all is right.
And like David said, we hold what's true —
“I'll go to him”… and in worship, we do.
So come if you're willing, no pressure, no plan —
Just your heart, and your feet, and an open hand.
We'll sing, we'll pray — not to forget,
But to remember the One who holds him yet.
The Clue
When light was twisted, I called it grace,
Still clinging to shadows I should have faced.
I knew the wrong, yet stayed the same,
And used His mercy to dodge the blame.
But grace is not permission to hide —
It calls the old man to die inside.
Look for the words where the question is raised:
Shall we keep on sinning, so grace is praised?
If you'd like to take a short walk together today,
I'd love to just be with you. Not to talk through anything — unless you want to —
but to walk and pray silently for what's ahead.
If you want company tonight, I'll be sitting in our room. Just to be near,
without needing anything from you. No pressure to come -- just an invitation
if you'd like to join me.
I'd like to invite you to come to our room tonight any time after 9:00PM.
Where I'll be sitting, and would read Scripture aloud to you.
No pressure to join.
